There are teachers and students with square minds who are by nature meant to undergo the fascination of catagories. For them, ‘schools’ and ‘movements’ are everything; by painting a group symbol on the brow of mediocrity, they condone their own incomprehension of true genius. — Vladimir Nabokov

The official release of the trailer for AMC‘s adaptation of The Walking Dead is finally here.  The series is being produced by Frank Darabont (The Mist), who also wrote and directed the pilot episode.  Greg Nicotero (Army Of Darkness, Spy Kids) is in charge of all the zombie make-up and practical special effects.  Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman (Invincible, Astounding Wolf-Man) wrote an episode.  My expectations for this series could be described as “high.”  Check out the long, glorious trailer after the jump.

EA Games had a big video presentation at Gamescom 2010 and Dead Space 2 was the belle of the ball.  The first one was really claustrophobic and violent, kind of a Resident Evil meets The Thing with a dash of Sunshine.  Man, those necromorphs are gnarly.  I really dug the zero-gravity sequences of the original and from the video it looks like Isaac will be doing a little space walking.  Check out the gameplay demonstration after the jump.

If you’re not reading Jeph Loeb‘s current run on the Hulk comic do yourself a favor and start catching up now, son.  On the DC Comics tip, there’s an upcoming animated film from Warner Premiere based on Loeb’s “The Supergirl From Krypton” story in Superman/Batman #8-13.  I really dug Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths, and Batman: Under The Red Hood, and I’ll bet this one is just as excellent.  Superman/Batman: Apocalypse comes out on DVD and Blu-ray September 28th.  Check out the new trailer, a clip, and a behind the scenes look after the jump.
